The Brighton Beach Lovers project began as a year-long project to document the beach between the Piers in 2000. This was the first year of the new century, and fears about the impact of climate change were becoming increasingly prominent. A year would be a snapshot of this first year of the new century. What started as a one-year project extended into five years, then ten and ended in 2025.
